La Paimpolaise, a History of Success
La Paimpolaise began as a simple chalet, constructed in 1962 by Mr. François Lévesque, in the ski-station’s early years of operation. Considering there weren’t any restaurants on the mountain at the time, Mr. Lévesque quickly decided to convert his chalet into a crêperie of the purest Breton tradition. He called it La Paimpolaise. A few years later, a 16 bedroom building was constructed behind the restaurant where a bar had already been added.
La Paimpolaise has had several managers and owners during its’ forty some-odd years as a restaurant, hotel and after-ski bar. Every time it has changed hands it has been improved, renovated or something new has been added to it, marking La Paimpolaises’ historical success in its unique position at the foot of the ski-hill.
Today, La Paimpolaise has been transformed into exclusive condominiums, offering its residents a modernized version of comfort and conviviality – two qualities that have always been an integral part of the location’s undisputed charm.
